Three structured ways to work on your household records
Each session type is designed for a specific need. A single day for immediate organisation. A six-week course for steady reading. A full year for couples who want to maintain their records together.

How every Retiraq session is structured
Every session type at Retiraq follows the same underlying principles. Before a session begins, participants know exactly what they will be doing, what they will leave with, and what the session does not cover. The scope is stated clearly and the agenda is shared in advance.
Each session is facilitated by a Retiraq team member who has a background in either adult education or records management. Questions are welcomed throughout, and where a question falls outside the organisational or educational scope, the facilitator says so directly.
Scope confirmed before enrolment
What the session covers, what it does not, and what to bring is communicated before you book.
Structured sequence within each session
Sessions follow a defined sequence so that each stage has a clear output and participants know what comes next.
Tangible output at the end
Each session type concludes with a physical output — a labelled folder, a records map, or a structured family folder — that participants keep.
Feedback collected and reviewed
Every participant is invited to provide written feedback. This is reviewed by the facilitation team before the next session intake.
Session 01
One-Day Personal Records Organisation Session
A guided one-day session in small groups, dedicated to setting up a clear filing system for the documents most households accumulate by mid-life. This includes identification copies, account statements, EPF and SOCSO contribution records, insurance receipts, and beneficiary nomination forms. The session is organisational only and does not advise on individual circumstances.
- Labelled folder structure for your household documents
- Personal records map — a single-page summary of where everything is
- Short reading list of official publications for self-directed follow-up
- All stationery and folder materials provided
- Maximum 8 participants per session
One full day
Georgetown premises
RM 690 per person
Session 02
Six-Session Retirement Literacy Course
A six-session course held weekly, designed for participants who want a steady overview of how the national retirement system is publicly described. Topics include how EPF statements are formatted, how SOCSO records are structured, and what publicly available publications exist for further reading. The course is conducted as a reading group with a discussion leader. All materials are drawn from publicly available sources and are included in the course fee.
- Six weekly sessions, each 90 minutes
- Course materials included — publicly available official sources only
- Discussion leader present throughout each session
- No individual advice — reading and discussion format only
- Maximum 8 participants per intake
Six weeks, one session per week
Georgetown premises
RM 1,950 per person
Session 03
Yearly Records Refresh Programme for Couples
A year-long programme for couples who want to keep their household records system up to date together. The programme begins with an in-home setup session where the filing structure is built around the actual space where documents are stored. Three follow-up sessions across the year review and update the system as circumstances change. An annual review at year-end consolidates the work and produces a structured family records folder intended as a handover document for future reference.
- Initial in-home setup session — filing structure built around your space
- Three follow-up sessions during the year
- Annual review at year-end
- Structured family records folder produced at the end
- Both partners present at all sessions
Twelve months, 5 sessions total
In-home + Georgetown
RM 4,420 per couple

Standards
Shared standards across all programmes
Privacy at every stage
Personal document contents are never shared in a group setting. Contact information is stored and processed in line with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
Group size limits
Group sessions are hard-capped at eight participants, ensuring each person has adequate time and space to work without interruption.
Scope stated at the outset
Every session opens with a plain statement of what is and is not covered. Retiraq does not offer financial, legal, or investment advice at any point.
Source verification
Literacy course materials are drawn from named, publicly available official publications. Each source is cited by name and participants are given the document title for independent retrieval.
Annual materials update
Course materials and folder structures are reviewed once per year and updated to reflect any changes in official published sources.
Post-session feedback
Written feedback is collected from every participant after each session and reviewed by the facilitation team before the next intake opens.
